Paul Questad has thirty years of experience in the home building industry. Paul founded Top Shelf Closets and Bath in 2009 after recognizing a need for high quality finish products in new homes. Our passion is installing beautiful products that add value and functionality to your home. Our Products and Service
We offer an expanding variety of products to meet your budget and lifestyle. From economical but functional and sturdy wire shelving to furniture grade melamine closet systems, from 3/16” thick bypass framed shower doors to 1/2″ thick frameless enclosures, we can find the best solution for you. We are currently offering our services in the Portland Metro area. We occasionally travel further but trip charges may apply.
Our Expansion
Because of our commitment to using the best products and suppliers, professional and prompt installations, and fiscal responsibility, Top Shelf became the fastest growing glass and shelving company in the Northwest. Soon after starting the business, we doubled in size for two years in a row.
2011:
Over 1.5 miles of wire shelving installed.
Over 4,000 square feet of mirrors installed.
2012:
Over 3 miles of wire shelving installed.
Over 8,000 square feet of mirrors installed.
2013:
Over 6 miles of wire shelving installed!
Over 16,000 square feet of mirrors installed!
2014-2022:
Top Shelf continues to grow in volume and product line expansion.
Paul and Nora Questad
Paul is the owner and founder of Top Shelf along with his wife Nora. His favorite job is developing software. He says it is satisfying creating tools that make business management easier. He hopes to one day master computer programming and says that the most amazing adventure to go on would be a trip to outer space.
Katie Mickelson
Katie is our Office Manager and has been with the company since 2020. Katie wishes she could travel the world if time and money weren’t an issue. She enjoys reading mysteries and watching comedies. When asked how she would design her dream home she wrote “ A great big kitchen and a living room that is open with lots of room for hosting friends and family, big bedrooms with large walk-in closets, large, covered patio to enjoy the morning sun with a cup of coffee and sunsets to end the days”
Ken Ford
Ken has been working for Top Shelf since 2018. His favorite job is anything that involves heavy glass. He loves the attention to detail it requires and taking a step back and looking at a beautifully finished product. He enjoys gunsmithing and spending time with his wife and baby.
Christian Muscutt
Christian has been working for Top Shelf since 2021. He likes installing heavy glass enclosures the most. He believes that a cup of coffee is the best way to start your day. He wants to travel to Europe and one day master metal working.
Craig Lampinen
Craig is our operations manager and has been working at Top Shelf since 2015. Craig has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry, over 10 years in business management and excels in customer service. Craig loves to hunt, spend time with his wife and 4 children and Marvel movies are his guilty pleasure. Given the opportunity, Craig would love to take up auto racing as a hobby. Craig would like to add that he thanks God daily for the opportunities and blessings that He has provided.
Lars Questad
Lars has been working for Top Shelf since 2019. His favorite jobs are installing mirrors and bathroom accessories. He enjoys reading the bible and taking saunas. He also hopes that castles one day make a comeback.
